Trump's Granddaughter Receives Professional Advice from Golf Legend Woods Prior to LPGA First Appearance
This young athlete boasts impressive social media audience
The young golfer will have plenty of well-known cheerleaders as she starts her professional golf debut this Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be the granddaughter of Donald Trump, obtained a tournament invitation to participate at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
The former president, someone who loves golf, operates several golf courses and frequently matches against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I can't say much but we play competitive games," she revealed.
Kai explained that her grandfather, unable to come, advised her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"My grandpa practically advised me to go out there and enjoy myself," she added.
"In my eyes, he's simply an ordinary family member. He's not attending for the tournament. He's focused on world affairs, so he's quite busy."
Being non-professional, Kai has played in just three tournaments recently and holds position 461 in AJGA listings.
Yet she can seek guidance from Tiger Woods, romantically involved with Vanessa.
"He represents the greatest golfer in the world," Kai expressed.
"And he's an even better person. He suggested me to go out there, have fun, adapting to whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against some of most prominent players in women's golf at this tournament, including world number two Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
Officials stated that her participation brings the sport to different demographics, specifically reaching youth audiences.
The social media influencer maintains substantial online presence and has started her own clothing and lifestyle brand.
The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
