The families of teenagers lost after a tragic inferno at a establishment in a Switzerland's winter destination are enduring an painful period of uncertainty for official news and pleading for information about their family members online.
The fire ripped through the a popular bar in the alpine resort, located in the mountains of south-west Switzerland, in the early hours of New Year's Day. Circulated images depict the roof structure catching alight as beverages with sparklers are held aloft.
Authorities have indicated that it could take an extended period to formally name the fatalities of the fire, which resulted in the death of 40 people and wounded another 119. Authorities said on the latest update that the majority of the those hurt have been identified, with the process still underway to name the remaining few.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Missing
The whereabouts of Swiss national Arthur Brodard, 16, are not yet determined, according to an public plea from his parent.
The resident of Lutry near the city, told a publication that she had returned to the city to see if he was in the medical facility, while his other parent did the same in the capital, but did not locate him.
"This is a living nightmare, a horror. Either I find my son in the morgue, or I find him in intensive care. Words cannot describe it," she told the paper.
She explained that some of his companions had been found with burns covering nearly half their bodies. "It's unspeakable; they experienced hell."
The Italy's foreign ministry has indicated that a number of of its citizens remain missing.
Included in that group is Emanuele Galeppini, a teenage sportsman, who hailed from Italy but now residing in Dubai.
The national sporting body has stated that he is deceased, without mentioning the tragedy, paying tribute to a "talented young man who carried with him dedication and authentic values."
His father, reportedly stated that his son was at the bar and was last heard from around the new year. An representative has stated that a formal confirmation of his death is still pending.
Additional Missing Individuals
Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is likewise among the missing. His mother explained that he had been on holiday but had ventured out with a group and found himself at the venue.
