Jet Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Windshield

A plane carrying the US defense secretary was required to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an official statement which verified that all passengers were secure.

"The plane touched down following standard procedures and everyone onboard, among them Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," a spokesperson commented in a social media post.

Hegseth was returning from a short visit to Brussels at the time.

This occurrence isn't the initial instance that a United States armed forces jet transporting a top government figure has experienced equipment failures.

In a previous incident this year, a American military jet carrying Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was compelled to head back to the US capital after suffering a technical issue.
