Three members of law enforcement were killed and at least 15 additional individuals were hurt in what appears to be intentional gas explosion at a rural property in the northern part of Italy.

The detonation was triggered as officers and emergency crews entered the residence close to Verona to execute an court-ordered eviction for a brother and sister trio in their late 50s and mid-60s.

Each of the three deceased individuals served in the Italian military police.

Legal Proceedings

One male and one female were taken into custody at the scene and a third person who escaped following the explosion was located not long after. All three have been taken to medical facility.
